Credit office celebrates National Ag Day

L-M Garden Club plans for annual flower show

The Lometa L-M Garden and Civic Club held its monthly meeting March 21 at the garden club building, with about 12 members present for the program and business portion. Refreshments consisted of bite-sized cucumber sandwiches, vanilla cupcakes with green and white swirled frosting, chips and sherbet punch.

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings. Defendant Douglas Christopher Wheat of Kempner pleaded guilty and was found guilty of driving while intoxicated-third or more.

Work to rehabilitate the roadway

Work to rehabilitate the roadway along several blocks of East Third Street is nearing completion. The project has been on a list of “high-need” repairs for some time. With the work substantially finished, traffic no longer will be rerouted, and access to businesses along Third Street is expected to return to normal. MONIQUE BRAND
