Man sentenced for intoxication manslaughter

A Kingsland resident is in prison after the court found him guilty of second-degree manslaughter. On April 29, Jeffery Dean Lederer was placed into custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for felony intoxication manslaughter shortly after he was sentenced in 27 th District Court.

Lampasas council OKs $6.5 million debt for infrastructure projects

The Lampasas City Council approved the issuance of $6.5 million in non-voter-approved debt, also known as certificates of obligation, for infrastructure and public safety projects. In a meeting April 25, the council unanimously approved the first and final reading of the ordinance issuing a combination tax and revenue certificate of obligation.
