Starbucks coming to Lampasas

Another coffee shop is making its way to Lampasas, and it’s a multinational franchise. Construction trucks were seen Friday at Key Avenue and West First Street demolishing a former convenience store/gasoline station site that will become home to the well-known java company.

Local sales continue to boost tax receipts

The Texas Comptroller’s office has released sales tax data for the month of May that shows allocations across the state were up 12% more than in May 2021. Rebates to cities and counties are based on local sales made in March by businesses that report their tax monthly, and sales made in January, February and March by those who file quarterly.

American Legion Auxiliary names Girls State participants

Six Lampasas High School students have been nominated by the campus teachers and administrators to attend the 2022 American Legion Auxiliary Bluebonnet Girls State session June 19-25. Girls State is held on the campus of Texas Lutheran College in Seguin.
