Lampasas City Council approves skate park construction

In a unanimous decision Monday evening, the Lampasas City Council approved construction of the Campbell Skate Park, a project that has been in the works since July 2020. A final presentation by Lampasas City Manager Finley deGraffenried during the evening’s workshop session made it clear that while the city had an existing contract for design services, the council still could decide to set aside the project.

Alzheimer’s support group to meet Friday

A new Alzheimer’s caregiver support group will begin Friday at 10 a.m. It will be offered the third Friday of every month in the conference room of the Lampasas County Office Building, 409 S. Pecan St.

Lometa disbands its zoning commission

Those who want to develop within the Lometa city limits will have fewer steps to go through before approval by its council. Last week, the Lometa City Council approved a motion to abolish their city planning and zoning commission.

Dates announced for Lampasas school board runoff

Early voting for the runoff election between Kelsi Davis and Harvey Stinnett for a seat on the Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees will begin June 30 and run weekdays through July 8, with a holiday on July 4.
