‘We keep losing deputies’

The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office is proposing a 6% salary increase for its patrol deputies and detention officers in the new fiscal year. The proposal up for approval by the Lampasas County Commissioners Court is part of Sheriff Jess Ramos’ retention plan, as he said the department is experiencing a staffing shortage.
