DISTRICT COURT

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened briefly last week, with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the hearings.The court reset the following.A waiver of arraignment was filed for William Thomas Dunson of Copperas Cove, and a pretrial hearing for the defendant was moved to July 19.

City issues water quality report

Although the city of Lampasas did not experience any water quality violations last year, its annual water quality report shows that a water provider failed to notify users of quality violations on three separate occasions.

The following arrests were reported to the Lampasas Dispatch Record by area law enforcement officials. The Dispatch Record prints the name and charge(s) of people arrested on at least one Class B misdemeanor – or more serious – charge.

Leavell chosen as 2024 grand parade marshal

The Lampasas Spring Ho Festival, an annual celebration that brings together the community in fun summer festivities, has announced Neal Leavell as the marshal for the 2024 Grand Parade.

Dance Contest, Tejano Night on tap for Spring Ho Thursday

Spring Ho is fast approaching, and with it comes the popular Dance Contest. Staged at the Putters & Gutters Fun Center on July 11, contestants will have the opportunity to enter a variety of dance categories and show off their moves. The contest will begin at 7 p.m.

Kids’ Day Activities set for July 12

The youngest participants can enjoy Spring Ho activities designed specifically for them, as a variety of kidfriendly events will be held on July 12. The Diaper Derby begins at 8:30 a.m.
