Big Divide manhunt suspect arrested

A man who law enforcement authorities allege fled from game wardens by vehicle and foot – and fired a handgun shot in the direction of one of the game wardens – was arrested Nov. 24 in Belton.

Fire trucks provide demonstration at elementary campus

Lampasas Fire Department brought its ladder truck to Hanna Springs Elementary School to show students how water can be sprayed from high atop the ladder to help extinguish a blaze on a tall structure. The demonstration was part of Fire Safety Week exercises.

Commissioners Court recognizes Scout for restoration work
