An accident at the new county jail construction site on the south side of town sent two male workers to an area hospital, officials said.
The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office received a call about the matter Thursday, shortly after 3 p.m.

Cooking oil from a local food manufacturing plant came through a sewer manhole early Thursday morning, spilling onto South Hackberry Street.
The quantity of oil was not immediately known, Lampasas City Manager Finley deGraffenried told the Lampasas Dispatch Record.
