Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings. John Thomas Alexander of Lampasas entered a plea of guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 1 gram and less than 4 grams.

City Council discusses new Hostess House options, plans for bridge work

After the Lampasas City Council rejected bids for the Hostess House renovation project, officials agreed to hold a special called meeting to discuss new options. In a Monday evening council workshop session, City Manager Finley deGraffenried presented feedback from architects and engineers — from those who bid and those who didn’t — after several bids came in over budget for the renovation, which initially was estimated at $1.2 million.

Kempner council talks road repairs

Tuesday night’s Kempner City Council meeting involved much discussion over road improvements. On Jan 26, the council approved the services of Grant Works to help secure funding from the Texas Community Development Block Grant.
