The town closes up at night The amount of traffic on Key Avenue lessened as the evening hours turned into night. In the 1960s, the light at North Avenue was set to flash between the hours of 10 p.m.

The Hill Country Soil and Water Conservation District -- in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas A&M AgriLife Research and the Lampasas River Watershed Partnership -- will host a Conservation Workshop and Local Work Group meeting March 29 in Lampasas.

The Alzheimer’s caregiver support group will meet March 17 at 10 a.m. in the conference room of the Lampasas County Office Building, 409 S. Pecan St. This group is offered by the Alzheimer’s Association, in partnership with the Area Agency on Aging of Central Texas. It is designed as a safe place for people living with dementia and their care partners to exchange information and share concerns.
