‘All roads lead to Lampasas’ unveiled

Council meets with EDC to discuss Business Park progress

A joint Wednesday workshop between the Lampasas City Council and Lampasas Economic Development Board saw common ground reached, with the entities agreeing to seek appraisals on Lot 4 of the Lampasas Business Park.

Lampasas Community Garden’s Spring Garden Sign-up date is Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Those interested in having a garden plot may start at the Community Garden site in Campbell Park and pick out a garden bed, then join the group for food at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.

Showing off a portion of the prize package he won at the Food Fair, Hudson McGhee was named reserve champion in the senior division competition. He had entries in the cakes and appetizers/snacks categories, but it was McGhee’s bread entry that earned him the reserve champion title.

Bicyclist killed in crash inside Lampasas city limits

A bicyclist crossing the intersection at South Western Avenue and Riverview Drive was killed Thursday after failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic.The last previous fatal crash within Lampasas city limits was in 2004, according to the Lampasas Police Department.

Kempner City Council approves contract for street projects

Kempner City Council members awarded a contract for street projects within the city, funded by a Texas Community Development Block Grant, to JH Contracting LLC. Action came Jan. 14 in the first regular meeting of the year.

Guy ready for role as new Lampasas County attorney

With 10-plus years of experience as the Lampasas County assistant attorney, new County Attorney Jessica Guy is ready for the role she was elected to serve in this past November.Guy takes over for John Greenwood, who spent 10 years as the county/district attorney.
