Perrigo Company PLC, an Ireland-based company, issued a voluntary recall March 17 of certain lots of Gerber Good Start SootheProTM Powdered Infant Formula. The recalled products were manufactured at the Company’s Gateway Eau Claire, Wisconsin manufacturing facility from Jan. 2-18, 2023.

Kempner council seeks appraisal for city property

Despite the absence last Tuesday night of Mayor John Wilkerson and Place 2 Councilman Thomas Combs, the Kempner City Council unanimously agreed to secure an appraisal on city-owned property. The property sits between the 1.96 acres owned by Mickan Family Limited and the 0.33 acres owned by Brenda Caraway, located north of FM 2313.

Lometa ISD board opposes state vouchers

The Lometa Independent School District Board of Trustees met last week to discuss multiple items that would affect the 2023-2024 school year. Among these was a decision of opinion regarding some proposals facing the Texas Legislature this session.

Man arrested on child assault charges

A Lampasas man has been arrested in Brownwood on local felony child assault charges. Vincent Lee Martinez, 27, was booked into Lampasas County Jail March 25 on two charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony, and one charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact, a second-degree felony.
