Lady Badgers’ missed opportunities cause loss to Burnet

The Lady Badger softball team traveled to Burnet Tuesday night to play a game where a win could have shot the girls into a tie for the lead in District 24-4A. Unfortunately, some errors that led to unearned runs and missed opportunities at the plate with runners on base ended up being the Lady Badgers’ downfall in a 10-3 loss.

Senior center reopens after temporary closure

City officials have confirmed the Lampasas Multi-Service/Senior Center is open after structural concerns surfaced last month. Center director Julie Windham said she called city officials in late March after spotting a crack along the wall of the facility, located at 901 S.

City joins county in statement on proposed bypass

In a unanimous vote Monday evening, the Lampasas City Council approved a joint statement with the Lampasas County Commissioners Court to oppose the Texas Department of Transportation’s proposed U.S. Highway 281 relief route on the basis of need.

Along with a growing need for future automotive workers, the aviation industry also offers a multitude of job openings. To help students plan for possible careers, Lampasas High School hosted its third annual Aviation Career Day recently to interest students in jobs within that vocational field.
