Lometa City Council discusses reduced funding for fire department

After swearing-in ceremonies during its City Council meeting last week, the city of Lometa once again is operating with a fully staffed council and police department.Sworn into office as re-elected council members were Alex Witherspoon and Karen Chism. They were joined by newcomer Taylor Thompson.

Rollins Brook to set up exhibit at hospital

After the Lampasas County Museum had a successful run with its special exhibit “Rollins Brook Hospital: Celebrating 90 Years,” museum foundation member Carol Wright visited with Ashley Underwood, vice president/administrator at AdventHealth Rollins Brook.

City eyes more recreation opportunities in Lampasas

Lampasas residents can expect a boost in recreational activities soon. The city is accepting applications for a full-time recreation specialist.City Manager Erin Corbell said this is a new position approved under the 2024-25 fiscal-year budget.
