TxDOT opens scholarship contest to high school seniors

The Texas Department of Transportation is accepting applications for the 2021 Don’t Mess With Texas Scholarship Contest. The contest recognizes high school seniors who take an active role in litter prevention in their school or community, according to a news release.

Police chief urges Lampasas residents to renew burglar alarm permits

The Lampasas Police Department is reminding residents and business owners to renew their burglar alarm permits with the city. Chief of Police Sammy Bailey said the department “appreciates citizens who secure their properties and use burglaralarm systems,” but she asked that residence and business owners renew their burglar-alarm permits as required and take measures to prevent false alarms.
