Watershed stewardship training program scheduled Jan. 28

A Texas Watershed Steward workshop will be held Jan. 28 from 1-5 p.m. This workshop is designed to help watershed residents learn about local water resources and how to become involved in watershed protection and management activities.

Retired agriscience instructor/FFA adviser Dr. Steve Forsythe of Lampasas has assumed another responsibility this spring. He will be the university supervisor for three senior Texas Tech University agriculture education majors completing their 12-week field experience.

Cayhil Isom exhibited the first-place finewool cross lamb and secondplace market goat at the Grandstand Youth Livestock show, a replacement for the Kerrville district show. In the gilt show, Bryli Wilson placed second with her Hampshire, and Saige Koger placed seventh with her cross.

Casino Night postponed

The Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center, Kiwanis Club and Lampasas Lions Club have announced they will postpone the 2021 Casino Night, originally set for Feb. 20 at the Lampasas County Livestock Center.
