Travel club to resume meetings

The Central Texas Travel Club will resume its monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. at Napoli’s Restaurant, 110 E.

Classic car cruise to San Saba scheduled

Owners of classic cars and trucks are invited to join a cruise from Storm's Drive-In to San Saba to participate in a San Jacinto celebration. The group would like to leave Storm’s by no later than 8:30 a.m.

Faulkner retires from Central Counties Services Board

Longtime Lampasas resident Sue Faulkner retired last month from the Central Counties Services Board of Trustees after four decades representing Lampasas County. Central Counties Services is a state-designated Mental Health and Intellectual Disability Authority that provides services to those with mental illness and intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Designing a wildlife-friendly landscape

We love watching the bunnies hop across the lawn or ground squirrels scurrying away with a cheek full of seeds. That is, until they dine on our favorite shrub or take just one bite out of each red ripe tomato in the garden.

Students qualify for UIL academic regional meet
