Hornet basketball regular season over; boys headed to playoffs

District basketball has ended for both Hornet basketball teams, with the Lometa boys securing a spot in the playoffs.
The girls’ and boys’ teams struggled to find their identities throughout the season, and it resulted in tough losses. The boys finished in third place with a 6-4 district record.

Freshman basketball team crowned undefeated district champs

The freshman Badger basketball team picked up a 41-32 over Burnet on Tuesday to close out a perfect district campaign at 9-0 and be crowned the district champions.
Beau Patterson and Dylan Polmanteer both scored 13 points to lead the team.

Badgers take care of business for fourth straight win

The Badgers continued their undefeated run through the second half of district play in dominant fashion last Friday, beating Lago Vista on the road by 28 points.
The 75-47 final was one of the highest-scoring games Lampasas has had. Four individuals scored in double figures.

Powerlifiting teams finish seventh and eighth at Comanche Meet

The Lampasas powerlifting teams traveled to Comanche last Thursday, and they competed very well. The girls’ team finished seventh overall, while the boys finished eighth.
“I was very proud of how the girls lifted,” head coach TJ Cleavinger said.
