Driver airlifted after U.S. 183 crash

A truck driver was airlifted to an area hospital this week after a crash on U.S. Highway 183 South. Early Tuesday morning, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, along with area emergency agencies, responded to a crash involving a commercial motor vehicle on U.S. 183 in Burnet County.

Dispatch releases annual magazine, announces photo contest winner

After several months in production, the 2021-2022 Guide to Lampasas magazine is included free inside today’s edition of the Lampasas Dispatch Record. The 80-page, glossy, full-color publication is one of the premium products the Dispatch Record offers each year.

Early voting continues

Early voting continues through Tuesday for the May 1 municipal elections. The Lampasas County Elections Office, which is running early voting for Lampasas and Kempner elections, recorded 168 votes as of Wednesday, according to Elections Administrator Mark Bishop.

The Lampasas High School Class of 1970 will meet for a reunion April 30-May 1. The April 30 gathering will be at 6:30 p.m. at Bill’s Burgers. On May 1, a tour and time for socializing is scheduled from 1-3 p.m. at the Keystone Star Hotel. Then, at 6:30 p.m.
