Kempner man indicted for allegedly stabbing woman

A Kempner man is in county jail after police say he allegedly stabbed a female family member. In the early-morning hours of April 14, Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a residence after receiving a report of an assault.

Commencement for the Lampasas High School Class of 2021 is scheduled May 21 at 7:30 p.m. on the turf field at the high school. If the weather is inclement, the graduation ceremony will move into the gymnasium, according to the school.

Central Texas entities posted significant gains in their monthly sales tax rebates this period. Seven of the 12 entities tracked by the Dispatch Record saw increases of 30% or more in May, while four cities notched gains between 20% and 21%.
