Former LMS principal named assistant superintendent

With a new school year approaching, the Lampasas Independent School District’s administration has announced several changes. Dr. Kevin Bott resigned as LISD assistant superintendent last week. He now will take the helm as superintendent for the Santa Fe Independent School District.

Community Church expects new building to be completed by Christmas

Construction at a new Lampasas Community Church location on East Fourth Street is moving along, as red steel was erected on the grounds last week. Since the mid-1980s, the congregation has been active in the Lampasas community and surrounding areas.

Rotary Club to host electronics recycling event in Marble Falls

The Rotary Club of Marble Falls is hosting an electronics recycling event June 17-19. Electronics that need to be recycled may be taken to Hill Country Collision, 1425 U.S. Highway 281 South in Marble Falls, June 17-18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and June 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Safety camp offered for elementary ages

Wings of Eagles will host a safety camp for kids, featuring story time, games, crafts, snacks and presentation of certificates. The event will be June 19 from 1-4 p.m. at NCC West, next to New Covenant Church at 1604 Central Texas Expy.
