A slight increase in coronavirus cases has shown up across the state, but numbers remain flat locally. Lampasas Fire Chief Jeff Smith, who also serves as the city’s emergency management coordinator, provides updates to the Lampasas City Council on coronavirus cases.

Tuesday house fire ‘not a total loss,’ official says

Officials are not ruling out foul play concerning a house fire that occurred late Tuesday evening. Lampasas Fire Marshal Ronnie Withers said his department met with Kempner Fire Department around 10:15 p.m. in the 500 block of County Road 4390 to battle a structure fire.
