First Street Church of Christ to host Vacation Bible School

First Street Church of Christ will host Vacation Bible School for the first time in a few years. For children 3 years old through the fifth grade, the church’s VBS will run from 6-8:15 p.m. July 26-28. The program is open to members of the community alongside attendees of the church.

DISTRICT COURT

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings. Defendant Jose Diego Gonzalez of Lampasas entered a plea of guilty to a charge of abandon/endanger a child-criminal negligence.

GRAND JURY

The Lampasas County grand jury met last week, as a new group was empaneled for the July term.

Construction on U.S. 190 near bypass is scheduled for the next two weeks

A $600,000 road project on U.S. Highway 190 is underway, and motorists are encouraged to follow posted construction signs. For the next two weeks, Big Creek Construction will work on pavement repairs from FM 2657 toward the U.S. 190 Bypass, weather permitting.
