As the Lampasas and Lometa school districts have returned to full, in-person learning, both districts said the school year is off to a great start. Lampasas Independent School District has reported a 2% increase in first-day enrollment from the previous school year.

U.S. Rep. Roger Williams came to Lampasas on Tuesday to visit the county’s new law enforcement center. Williams and his staff toured the 56,000-square-foot, $18 million facility that is capable of housing 112 inmates.

Hostess House renovation among possible hotel-motel fund projects

The Lampasas City Council has expressed interest in funding several renovation projects in the proposed Fiscal-Year 2022 budget to include the Hostess House, pavilion and skate park. In August of last year, the estimate to fund approximately five projects totaled around $940,000.
