County considers demolition of old jail

Movement can be seen on the grounds and inside the former county jail building on East Fourth Street since it became vacant earlier this year. The reason? The county is interested in demolishing the building.

Kempner adopts local elections ordinance

A new law approved by the Kempner City Council aims to provide accountability and transparency in upcoming local elections. The new ordinance, introduced by Mayor John Wilkerson, addressed past elections that “got out of order,” particularly in past mayoral and Place 2 elections.
