An attempt to make a traffic stop led to a highspeed pursuit Saturday that crossed over two counties. A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper tried to stop a red Dodge Charger in Lampasas County for a traffic violation.

Lometa ISD to host Veterans Day program

The public is invited to the Lometa Independent School District’s Veterans Day ceremony Nov. 11 from 10-11 a.m. in the school’s new gymnasium. The Lometa Rangers student honor guard will post the colors, and there will be a student-led invocation.

U.S. 190 construction begins at FM 2313 intersection

Roadwork was scheduled to begin this week at the intersection of U.S. Highway 190 and FM 2313 in Kempner. Right-turn lanes will be constructed in both travel directions on U.S. 190, and illumination will be added at the intersection.
