Lampasas County 27 th District Court convened last week with Judge John Gauntt presiding over the day’s hearings. Defendant Aurelio Coronado of Lampasas entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated-third or more.

Upcoming winter forecasts for the Lampasas and Hill Country area call for warmer, drier weather, but residents are urged to make preparations in case things get icy. Lampasas Fire Chief Jeff Smith said residents ideally should winterize their home at the beginning of November.

The 2021 Holidazzle Parade closed the Carol of Lights event with glimmer and glamour Saturday night. The annual lighted Christmas parade sponsored by Ajinomoto Foods featured about 20 decorated floats and vehicles.

Motorcyclists and Corvette, Jeep and Dodge Ram drivers participated in the 29th annual Tri-County Toy Run of Central Texas, driving from Temple to Lampasas to raise money for and deliver toys to needy children. The event was Sunday afternoon.
