CITY AND COUNTY OFFICES CLOSED Lampasas municipal offices and the public library will be closed Dec. 24-25 for the Christmas holidays. Trash pickup will remain on schedule, according to the city. Lampasas County offices will be closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 27 so employees can enjoy the holidays.

Highland Lakes Master Gardener Association will offer its certification classes again at the Burnet County AgriLife building. Classes will run for 10 weeks on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. until about 2:30 p.m. beginning Feb. 2, 2022.

A Lometa police officer was involved in a collision that resulted in two people being transported to a local hospital. On Dec. 13 at approximately 5:53 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash near the Lometa city limits, according to DPS Sgt.
