The Lampasas Police Department’s annual Citizen Police Academy starts Jan. 6, 2022. Free classes will be held Free classes will be held each Tuesday and Thursday night for 12 weeks from 6-8 p.m. for individuals interested in learning more about how the police department operates.

Long-time Lampasas County resident Gary W. Franklin recently filed for election to the newly drawn Texas House District 68. The district covers Lampasas, San Saba, Mills, Brown, Comanche, Eastland, Shackelford, Young, Jack, Cooke, Throckmorton and Montague counties.
