BAYLOR UNIVERSITY Baylor University recently recognized the nearly 1,800 graduates who received their degrees during summer and fall commencement ceremonies. Among the graduates was Jalynn Jessica King of Lampasas.

Two constable vacancies filled by court on Monday

Two county constables seats were filled via appointment Monday afternoon. The Lampasas County Commissioners Court appointed Bob Montgomery to fill the Precinct 1 constable position. On Feb. 28, the court accepted the resignation of Precinct 1 Constable Dennis James.

Kempner cancels its May 7 election

Incumbents David Richardson and Thomas Combs were declared elected for another term on the Kempner City Council on Tuesday, as the council members voted unanimously to cancel the May 7 municipal election. No contested seats would have been on the ballot.

Warrant roundup open to March 26

The Lampasas Municipal Court is teaming up with the Texas Marshals Association and McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen – a collections agency out of Austin – to participate in a Warrant Roundup. The event started Feb. 28 and will continue until March 26.
