I was a bit concerned about not taking my students on a field trip outside of Lampasas County, but in retrospect I’m completely happy that we spent our day close to home. On May 10, we boarded our bus on a trip that would begin at the “Patriot” mural painted by Vision Lampasas.

Lometa City Council swears in new members; fills vacancy

The Lometa City Council held a special meeting Monday to swear in two newly elected members, as well as to appoint someone to fill the vacancy created after Marsha Laughlin’s resignation on March 8. In municipal balloting on May 7, four candidates were vying for two at-large council seats.
