SCHOOL BOARD RUNOFF Early voting ends today in the Lampasas Independent School District runoff election between candidates Kelsi Davis and Harvey Stinnett. Early ballots may be cast between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Lampasas County Elections Office, 407 S. Pecan St. in Lampasas.

Court denies appraisal district budget for new fiscal year

The Lampasas Commissioners Court started its budget talks on June 27 with a presentation from the Lampasas Central Appraisal District. It quickly denied the proposed spending plan. The appraisal district sought a $126,536 increase for its Fiscal Year 2023 budget, which totals $749,124.
