BURN BAN LIFTED County Judge Randy Hoyer has temporarily suspended the order restricting outdoor burning. The burn ban has been lifted until Nov. 28 at 6 p.m.

Sales tax allocations to area cities showed wide divergences this month. Lometa recorded the highest percentage gain in November among entities tracked by the Dispatch Record, while its neighbor Goldthwaite in Mills County had the largest percentage decline.

Snow Queen Pageant offers new categories

The 2022 Lampasas Snow Queen Pageant will be held Dec. 3 at the courthouse bandstand during the city’s Carol of Lights event. The three categories for the pageant are “Most Photogenic,” “Humanitarian” and “Ambassador,” according to Carissa Castaneda, the pageant’s assistant director.

Six area-qualifiers named after FFA District contests

Lampasas FFA competed at the Bluebonnet FFA District LDE Contests in Marble Falls and earned five first places and one second-place finish. Those team members all qualify for the area competition. Judy Hail serves as the FFA adviser for Lampasas. District results follow.

Three Lady Badgers sign to play college athletics

Three Lady Badgers in three different sports officially signed to play at the next level. On Wednesday morning in front of many of their peers, Bre Quarles signed to play both volleyball and softball at Sul Ross State.
