Museum names winners in gingerbread house contest

AdventHealth Central Texas held its annual Christmas on Clear Creek tree lighting event on Thursday. Kids’ activities were offered, along with a magician, gifts, hot chocolate or coffee and cookies for those in attendance.

OUTDOOR BURNING ALLOWED County Judge Randy Hoyer signed an order last week to lift temporarily the restrictions on outdoor burning in Lampasas County. The burn ban now is scheduled to go back into effect at 6 p.m. Dec. 12.

Boil water notice rescinded in Kempner

Kempner Water Supply Corp. officials said a boil water notice issued over Thanksgiving was rescinded Wednesday. On Nov. 26, KWSC officials issued a boil water notice as required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality due to a “major leak,” said Stacy Ellis, KWSC chief financial officer.

Cemetery association to hold fundraising sale

Blue Ridge Cemetery Association, which serves Hamilton County and the Blue Ridge community, has a chapel in need of repair. To help raise funds to complete the work on the chapel, the association is selling tools and donated items. The sale is Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Dec. 10 from 9 a.m.

“I’ll Be Home for Christmas” is the theme for the Lampasas County Museum’s 2022 Holiday Tour of Homes. The annual event is Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased at the museum Friday or Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., or on the day of the tour. The museum is at 303 S.
