Council OKs more grants for Kempner Police Department

Kempner Police Chief Eddie Rodriguez is continuing to seek ways to improve the city’s police department through grants. During last week’s Kempner City Council meeting, council members approved new action for potential upgrades to the police department based on Rodriguez’s requests.

CX debate team heads to state

Shuford sentenced in felony drug case

A Lampasas teenager pleaded guilty to a felony drug charge Feb.24 in the 27th District Court of Lampasas. Nathan Whitman Shuford, 19, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of manufacture/ delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 2/2-A over 400 grams – a firstdegree felony.
