Early Voting Continues

Early voting for elections in Lampasas, Kempner and Lometa will be offered through Tuesday. Lampasas and Kempner voters may cast early ballots at the Elections Office, 407 S. Pecan St. in Lampasas on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Extended hours on Tuesday are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Against the backdrop of a bright blue sky and with the scent of blooming honeysuckle in the air, a large group gathered Saturday morning for a plaque dedication at Cooper Spring Nature Park.

Batten down the hatches, the National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Lampasas and surrounding counties this afternoon. The watch was issued at 2:50 p.m. this afternoon and remains in effect until 10 p.m.

LHS culinary students compete in Disney theme park in Florida

Six Lampasas High School students competed in a Disney-hosted cooking competition in Orlando, Forida, from April 21-25. The competition, held at Walt Disney World, is called “Cook Around the World.” Lampasas students were entered along with 86 teams from high schools across the U.S.
