Thunderstorms on the horizon

This photo was taken Wednesday evening as storm clouds rolled into the area. The National Weather Service had issued a tornado watch late that afternoon for Lampasas, Coryell and Bell counties, but the more turbulent conditions moved elsewhere.

Kempner resident critically injured Friday in FM 2808 wreck

A two-car collision at the intersection of FM 2808 and County Road 4700 sent an elderly man to the hospital Friday morning. The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office, Kempner Volunteer Fire Department, Hamilton EMS and Texas Department of Public Safety all reported to the scene.
