Utility rates rise

Lampasas City Council unanimously approved an increase in water, electric and solid waste services in a Monday meeting. The council voted to increase water rates by adding $2.25 to the monthly base rate and an additional $0.10 per 1,000 gallons used. The electric rates will increase by $0.

Students selected for summer Boys State, Girls State sessions

The Lampasas American Legion Auxiliary Unit 277 has named the students who will represent Lampasas at the 2023 Bluebonnet Girls State Session.

The Lampasas Multi-Service Center at 901 S. Live Oak is seeking volunteers to assist with its Meals on Wheels program. One fulltime driver is needed once a week, and substitute drivers also are needed. Those interested may stop by the center and speak with the director, Julie Windham.

Man injured in ATV crash

A 35-year-old man traveling east near the 1300 block of Central Texas Expressway was injured after he lost control of his allterrain vehicle Wednesday afternoon. Lampasas Police Sgt.
