WATER QUALITY TOWN HALL The city of Lampasas will hold a town hall meeting on water quality and capacity Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the former middle school cafeteria, 103 N. Western Ave.

Kempner adopts fees to reserve facilities at municipal park

With demand growing to utilize Sylvia Tucker Memorial Park, Kempner City Council members approved a new fee structure for those who wish to reserve spaces in the park. The action came during Tuesday’s regular council meeting.

LCAD budget presentation draws questions from Kempner council, county commissioners

When it comes to the Lampasas Central Appraisal District’s 9.38% increase in its 2027 proposed budget, the Kempner City Council and Lampasas County Commissioners Court had differing thoughts.

Last week, I spent five straight days at a lake house on Lake LBJ with family, and we fished from sun-up through sundown.This was our third consecutive summer to take a trip together, and I can honestly say it’s at least as good a vacation as I have been on in my life.

Clarification

Lampasas Central Appraisal District officials have been making presentations to each of the taxing entities in Lampasas County to offer information on the 2027 proposed budget for LCAD.A public hearing on the budget is slated for June 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the appraisal district board room.

Deadline to order peaches nears

The Kiwanis Club of Lampasas is offering a22-pound box of Texas peaches for $60. Funds raised from this annual project help support local scholarships for students. Order deadline is June 19.
