SCV Camp explores Southern history with ‘The Judge’

On Tuesday, the Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp No. 2353 gathered at the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce for its monthly meeting.The gathering featured a presentation by Texas Division Chaplain James Bozeman, who shared insights into the historical significance of the Confederate era.

DISTRICT COURT

Lampasas County 27th District Court has convened several times in July, with Judge Debbie Garrett presiding over the criminal hearings.

Hanna Springs Pool visitor deceased after drowning incident

An adult male Hanna Springs Pool visitor experienced “distress” in the water on Saturday afternoon before he was ultimately declared deceased, according to a city of Lampasas press release. The city has not released the name or age of the individual.A city press release says at 3:07 p.m.

Game warden aids with flood rescues

With over a decade of swift water rescue experience, Lampasas County Game Warden Ray Milloway said the flooding events he witnessed in Kerr County on July 4 were the most severe he has ever seen.
