Commissioners turn down responsibility for east-end subdivision

The Lampasas County Commissioners Court agreed an interlocal agreement with Coryell County over a subdivision development in Precinct 1 was not in the county’s best interest.

Sheriff’s Office restarts K-9 training program

The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office has a new handler for its K-9 dog, Blazer.Sheriff David Parker told the Dispatch Record Deputy Justin Wilson will take the reins of the K-9 program and begin training in September. Former Deputy C.J.

ATMOS Energy continues gas pipe upgrades

ATMOS Energy crews replacing natural gas pipelines within the city of Lampasas are expected to continue their work through October.ATMOS officials said the company is replacing old steel gas pipes in areas that are more susceptible to potential gas leaks.

Retired longtime agriculture science teacher Ronnie Vineyard has been inducted into the Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas Hall of Fame. He and other Class of 2025 honorees were recognized at a celebration this summer.
