Badgers miss out on playoffs after loss to Lago Vista

The Badgers played host to the Lago Vista Vikings for the final time this season with their playoff hopes on the line. Lampasas outplayed Lago Vista for most of the game, except for a bad third inning when the Badgers gave up seven runs on some unfortunate hits and had a couple of errors.

Soccer players receive all-district honors

The all-district awards and recognitions have been released for Lampasas. Many of the Badger and Lady Badgers athletes have been honored for their hard work this season. Starting with the boys’ team, David Flores received first team all-district honors.

Lady Badgers come up short against Jarrell

The Lady Badger softball team played Jarrell on the road in the final regularseason softball game of the year with a chance to move from the fourth spot in district to the third. Lampasas came out slow and was down 5-1 after three innings.

Baseball team struggles at the plate in loss to Lago Vista

Things did not go well for the Badgers Tuesday night against Lago Vista. They managed only four hits in the game and gave up seven runs in the first three innings to lose 7-0. Jonas Andersen got the start for the Badgers, but the Vikings were able to get to him early.

Badgers and Lady Badgers celebrate basketball season

The Badger and Lady Badger basketball players and coaches gathered in the high school gym Monday night to celebrate their successful seasons. Both head coaches, Aaron Nuckles and Macey Wooten, presented four awards to their teams as well as certificates for all-district recognitions.

Boys’ and girls’ track competitors earn medals at district meet

The district track meet was held in Marble Falls last week, and several Lampasas runners and field event competitors finished in the top four of their event. They will continue the season at the area meet in Gatesville this week. The top four results for the Badgers and Lady Badgers are as follows.

The Badger baseball team traveled to Jarrell last Friday for the final meeting between the two teams this season. The Cougars came out swinging and scored three runs in the first inning.

Lady Badgers once again suffer extra-innings loss to Gateway

The Lady Badgers played their final home game of the season on Friday, and it was an important matchup against Gateway. The last time these two teams met, the result was a tough, nine-inning loss for the Lady Badgers.

Badger tennis team competes at regionals

The Lampasas tennis team sent six players to the regional tennis tournament this week. Competition took place at Bryan High School. The Badgers were able to advance two teams to the tournament quarterfinals before they ran into some tougher competition, head coach Kenneth Peiser said.
