Badgers’ summer football camp, SWAT coming up soon

The Badgers will host a youth football camp May 15-17. Each day will run from 4-6 p.m. Students in first grade through fifth grade are eligible to register. Cost of the football camp is $35. Campers need a T-shirt, shorts, cleats or tennis shoes and sunscreen to participate.

Badgers suffer tough loss in final road game of the season

The Badgers were well on their way to a quality win over Gateway on Tuesday afternoon, when they were leading 4-1 and needed only three outs in the bottom of the seventh to close out the game. A couple of walks and hits later, the bases were full of Gators, and the Lampasas lead was trimmed to 4-2.

Lampasas sending competitors to regional track meet

Three Lampasas athletes will compete at the regional track meet this weekend in Bullard. Asa White, Tate Brown and Aden Rascoe all finished in the top four of their respective events at the area track meet in Gatesville last week, and they will get to compete at least one more time this season.

Boys’ and girls’ golf teams heading to state tournament

The Badger and Lady Badger golf teams both have qualified for the state golf tournament set for Kingsland next month. The boys as a team shot 340-330-670 over the two days of competition to finish third in the regional tournament in Huntsville last week.
