The report from the Oct. 11 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows. Cattle and calves: Total cattle 441, compared to 480 last sale and 556 at this time last year. Compared to last sale, feeder steers were $7-$10 higher, stocker heifers $10-$15 higher, feeder heifers steady to $3 higher.

Livestock association’s Reverse Raffle on tap this weekend

The Lampasas County Livestock Association will host its Reverse Raffle this Saturday at the Lampasas County Show Barn, beginning at 5 p.m. Funds from the event will be used to help finish the ag barn and to fund local scholarships.

In October, the city of Lampasas recorded its fifth consecutive month of sales tax percentage declines. Revenues have not kept pace with rebates that were posted for the June through October period in 2022.
