Sulphur Creek Car Cruise set for June 22

The 38th Annual Sulphur Creek Car Cruise is scheduled for Saturday, June 22.Hosted by Advanced Window Tint, the event will take place at W.M. Brook Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is an opportunity for car and truck enthusiasts to exhibit their ride.

Third annual KM Scramble set for Friday at Hancock Park

Summer months are the time when the majority of community golf tournaments are held at Hancock Park Municipal Golf Course. On Friday, the Third Annual KM Scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.The tournament is a twoman scramble event put on by Murray Events and Keller Williams Realty.

Weinheimer takes on new role as LHS principal

Paul Weinheimer is settling into his position as Lampasas High School’s new principal, a role he wouldn’t have imagined himself in 20 years ago.A majority of Weinheimer’s education career was spent as a math teacher and football coach before he became an assistant principal at LHS in 2019.
