Lampasas County grand jury convened Wednesday to finish the January term.In a case brought by Lampasas County Attorney John Greenwood, William Thomas Dunson IV was indicted on a charge of possession of a controlled substancemethamphetamine on April 5.

Seal coat work performed around county

Road maintenance crews put down seal coating on targeted roadways this week. State Loop 257 (East Fourth Street) through the downtown Lampasas area received a thin layer of the protective asphalt and rock on Tuesday.

TxDOT officials present U.S. 190 design plans

The Texas Department of Transportation unveiled its alternative route designs for the U.S. Highway 190 at Big Divide Road project during Tuesday’s open house at Taylor Creek Elementary School.

City Council accepts airport fuel tank contract

At Monday night’s Lampasas City Council meeting, members approved a bid for replacement of the airport fuel system at the Lampasas Municipal Airport. BGIS was awarded the bid in the amount of $212,304.At a meeting in February, the council was presented with an estimated of $102,862.

TxDOT open house tonight

The Texas Department of Transportation will take input from Lampasas County residents at its open house tonight on alternate plans for the U.S. Highway 190 expansion project. The meeting is from 5:30-7 p.m. at Taylor Creek Elementary School, 2096 Big Divide Rd.
