The Creating Badger Builders nonprofit will hold a Tiny Home Auction on Saturday at 1 p.m. The one-bedroom, one-bath, 560-square-foot home was custom built by students in the high school construction program. An open house to view the tiny home starts at 9 a.m. at Lampasas High School.

Appraisal district holds budget workshop

Chief Appraiser Juan Saucedo cleared the air at Thursday’s workshop on the 2025 budget amendment that will require additional funding from taxing entities.Last summer, the Lampasas Central Appraisal District Board of Directors approved a budget of $890,471 for 2025.

City encourages water conservation

Since April 11, city of Lampasas water customers have been under voluntary stage 1 water restrictions. Depending on rainfall, restrictions could tighten in the summer.
