Church to host a capella groups for Songfest 2024

Two outstanding a capella singing groups are slated to perform for the community during a free concert.SONGFEST 2024 will take place Dec. 14 from 6-7:30 p.m. at First Street Church of Christ, 201 W. First St. in Lampasas.
The festive home of Casey and Kevin Smart is one of the stops on this year’s Christmas Tour of Homes. The home features cowboy-style decor and is sure to bring some western inspiration to those who visit. The Smarts’ home, along with the other Lampasas County residences, will be open for touring Sunday as part of the museum’s annual yuletide fundraiser. Lampasas County Museum’s annual Tour of Homes is set for Sunday afternoon from 1-5 p.m. Tickets are available from any museum board member, or they may be purchased Sunday at the museum.The Tour of Homes is an annual fundraiser for the museum.

L-M Garden Club celebrates Thanksgiving; Christmas party scheduled

On Nov. 18, the L-M Garden and Civic Club held its annual Thanksgiving feast at the Club building.All members brought potluck dishes to be enjoyed among the group of members, former members, friends and family. Decorations were provided by Cat Morrison. Great fellowship ensued.

Kempner Christmas in the Park set for Friday

The city of Kempner is hosting the Christmas in the Park event Friday night.The event begins at 5 p.m. and will include vendors for holiday shopping, seasonal food and beverages, festive music and a Christmas movie showing. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance at 6:15 p.m.

Hatley Ranch in Tour of Homes

The Hatley Ranch will be part of this year’s Lampasas County Christmas Tour of Homes. The home is tucked in the rolling hills just west of town. The museum’s 2024 Tour of Homes is set for Dec. 8. Tour tickets, at $15 each, are available at the Lampasas County Museum or from any museum board member.
