New card game promotes coming together through conversation

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, free time was in abundance. For Erin Montgomery, the pause in time allowed her to craft a new conversation card game titled “SCARS.” Conversation card games are simple. Cards pose a question, and those involved answer the specific card.

36 Club holds program on human trafficking concerns

The Jan. 12, 2023 meeting of the 36 Club was called to order at 3:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Lampasas. With Gov. Greg Abbott having proclaimed January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month for Texas, former Lampasas chief of police Sammy Bailey was asked to speak on this topic.

From Korea to Lampasas

When Master Chung Lee immigrated to the United States from Korea more than 40 years ago, he imagined his days with taekwondo were over. Little did he know that Americans have an appetite for the unique form of martial arts.
