Creating Badger Builders fundraiser on the horizon

Creating Badger Builders will host an event this spring to support Career and Technical Education students at Lampasas Independent School District. The event is slated for March 25 at the Lampasas County Youth Livestock Center, with doors to open at 5 p.m.

Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation

The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is offering area residents assistance with income tax preparation. Appointments are being scheduled between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. from Feb. 7 through April 11 at the Lampasas Senior Center, 901 S. Live Oak. To set up an appointment for this free service, call 512525-3854.

Adoption and dog training event set for Saturday

Lampasas Animal Shelter is holding an adoption and training event on Saturday, in honor of National Train Your Dog Month. The event, which the shelter is co-hosting with the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Farmers Market arrives early in 2023, opens Saturday

The Lampasas County Farmers Market and Crafts is opening sooner than in previous years after receiving approval during Monday’s Lampasas County Commissioners meeting. The farmers market is set to open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lampasas County Courthouse square.

Although Lampasas Public Library will be closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, it is offering programs in January for people of all ages. A Story Time for children will be Jan. 18 at 10:30 a.m. Staff will be reading “The Library Book” by Tom Chapin and Michael Mark.
