In only her second year at the helm, Shona Moore’s vision as principal of Taylor Creek Elementary School has turned struggling test scores into A’s for her campus.Last week, Moore presented a campus update to the Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees.

A household of three people was displaced Monday morning after a kitchen fire led to significant damage to their home on East Third Street. Lampasas Fire Chief Jeff Smith said firefighters received a report of a structure fire in the 1400 block of East Third at 6:05 a.m.

New spa holds ribbon-cutting event

Vision Lampasas’ annual Wild West Casino Night has been set for Feb. 18 at the Lampasas County Show Barn. A major fundraiser for the year, Casino Night is hosted by Vision Lampasas, Lampasas Lions Club and Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce. Starting at 5:30 p.m.

Vann honored posthumously for lifetime service to agriculture

W. Lee Vann was honored posthumously on Nov. 21, 2022 – Texas Agriculture Memorial Day – at the Texas Capitol. One of 17 honored, Vann was remembered for his lifetime of service to agriculture.
