As Brock Langford and Ayden Shaw leaped into the air and each got a hand on the final pass of the game to knock it away, the Badgers officially started their 2023 campaign with a win. The final score was 31-23, as the Badgers outlasted the Elgin Wildcats at home in a game where the second half really decided the outcome.

Hornets beat Gorman for first time since 1985

Lometa’s football team began its 2023 campaign with an impressive openingweek game at home versus the Gorman Panthers, winning 34-12. Not only was this the first win of Lometa’s young season, but it also marked the Hornets’ first victory over Gorman since 1985.

Tennis team picks up fifth win of the season

The Lampasas tennis team hosted Ellison Friday night and came away with a fairly dominant win, 15-4. “God supplied us with some shade with the clouds, a breeze that brought in some drops of rain and a little cooler afternoon,” Lampasas head coach Kenneth Peiser said.

Lady Badgers win five-set thriller in Brownwood

The Lady Badgers traveled to Brownwood Tuesday for a non-district volleyball match, and this one did not disappoint. The Lampasas girls won a riveting, five-set match when they closed the game out at 15-12 in set number five.
